MSW Intern

Maddie Bamberg

Hi there, I’m Maddie!

I believe every individual and child deserves to feel heard, supported, and empowered. I strive to provide a safe and positive space for healing and tools to navigate challenges.

My strong passion for helping others has shaped my path, from facilitating support groups to working in schools with children. I am especially drawn to supporting clients facing issues related to trauma, family relationships, and mental health concerns. My strengths in compassion and empathy are at the foundation of my work. My background in Psychology and working individually with clients and children, has given me the proper tools to build connections with clients in all areas.

My Background & Approach

I am currently pursuing my MSW at Wayne State University, after earning my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Michigan State University. My integrative practice is rooted in person-centered, cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and acceptance and commitment therapy approaches.

I strive to be a voice that can both hold space but also help clients take action, providing different forms of support based on individuals’ needs. A little bit about me, I’ve been known for my positive and comforting demeanor, with a playful spirit that brings care to each session. With experience working with both adult trauma clients, and in schools with young children, I can quickly adapt to working with various age populations. I look forward to building an environment that fosters compassion and growth.
