Counselor-in-Training
Adriann Spann
Through compassionate, strength-based support, I help families break the cycles that hold them back and build a healthier path forward together.
Hey, I’m Adriann.
Is your child or teen struggling with feelings of sadness, anxiety, difficulty connecting with peers, or behavioral challenges? Would they benefit from individual support—or, as a parent, are you interested in joining them to explore the root of these challenges, strengthen your relationship, and work together toward a better quality of life for your entire family?
My name is Adriann, and I’m currently serving as a Clinical Mental Health Counseling intern with a deep passion for working alongside children, adolescents, and families. I come with over six years of experience in Child Welfare, where I serve as an Ongoing Specialist—building trusting relationships with at-risk families and youth, helping them navigate complex challenges, and supporting them in identifying and overcoming barriers to well-being.
I’m especially passionate about the family system and how it shapes future generations. I believe in the power of healing, growth, and breaking intergenerational cycles that often prevent families from reaching their full potential. My experience working with the Family Court System has also given me insight into the trauma that can result from family separation and the importance of providing compassionate, trauma-informed support.
My goal is to provide a safe, respectful, and empowering space for clients to explore their stories, strengthen relationships, and build the skills needed for long-term self-sufficiency and emotional wellness. I believe every family has strengths worth building, and I’m here to walk alongside you as you grow and heal.
My background & approach
I am a Master's-level Clinical Mental Health Counseling student at Walden University. I incorporate my experience working with families in Child Welfare Services into my current training as a counseling intern, developing an integrative approach that is rooted in humanistic, person-centered, and strength-based techniques. I have also obtained a Bachelor of Science in Human Services and a Master of Science in Psychology from the University of Phoenix. I am known for my empathetic presence, keen observation skills, and my ability to genuinely connect with others—offering encouragement and helping people feel seen, accepted, and supported. With my experience and your dedication and potential, we can work together to develop a plan that increases self-awareness, breaks generational cycles, and builds a better quality of life—for both the present and the future.
